Asiago, una vacanza unica ed indimenticabile
Chi non ha mai sentito parlare di Asiago? Pochi, se non pochissimi. Ci sono quelli che lo pensano come meta turistica per l'estate, che essendo vicino la pianura Padana diventa un rifugio dal caldo e umidità per molti dei nostri grandi centri come Venezia, Padova e perfino Milano e Roma.
Altri considerano Asiago un grande centro per il volo a vela, con la possibilità di sorvolare le indimenticabili Dolomiti. Ancora altri pensano agli sport invernali. Da non dimenticare il "formaggio Asiago" conosciuto in tutto il mondo. Oppure il "Rosso Asiago" ricavato dalle nostre cave che veste moltissimi edifici in Italia e all'estero, come il Kuwait. L’altopiano di Asiago, composto da otto comuni, rappresenta una stupenda terrazza affacciata a sud sulla Pianura Padana e teneramente protetta a nord dalle magnifiche Dolomiti.
E’ una delle più rinomate e frizzanti stazioni turistiche invernali ed estive ed offre, inoltre, un vivacissimo dopo sci.
Ad Asiago e sull'Altopiano, si possono praticare numerose attività sportive. Durante l'inverno: sci nordico, sci alpino, snowboard, sci alpinismo, telemark, pattinaggio su ghiaccio, pattinaggio artistico, pattinaggio di velocità, hockey su ghiaccio, passeggiate con le racchette da neve (dette anche ciaspole). Durante l'estate: trekking ed escursionismo, nordic walking, mountain bike, equitazione, golf, orienteering, sci d'erba, ski roll, volo a vela e a motore. Tutto l'anno, nelle diverse strutture sportive: atletica, calcio, basket, volley, nuoto, tennisPer quanto riguarda il formaggio, l’Asiago è un formaggio italiano di Denominazione di Origine Protetta, prodotto in due sapori diversi, fresco e stagionato. Il centro storico di ottimo livello si caratterizza per i numerosi e ricercati negozi, per i suoi pub, le birrerie, le discoteche ed un paese sempre in festa. Le vacanze sull'Altopiano, in hotel 4 stelle Asiago, regalano emozioni forti a chi ama le vacanze in montagna, per chi apprezza la montagna del Veneto, tra paesaggi stupendi e un'offerta turistica impeccabile. L'altopiano di Asiago, detto anche Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, offre la possibilità di vivere una meravigliosa vacanza in montagna con tutta la famiglia, una vacanza romantica tra le suggestive cime vicentine, una vacanza all'insegna dello sport e dell'attività fisica, sia in inverno che in estate, per sciare sulle bellissime piste da sci della zona o per fare escursioni, passeggiate, mountain bike, ecc.
Per visitare l'altopiano Asiago, occorre iniziare un percorso a tappe attraverso gli 8 incantevoli comuni.
Il primo paese che si incontra è Rotzo, il più antico di tutti i comuni dell'Altopiano di Asiago, e proprio per questo è anche il comune più ricco di storia e di testimonianze antiche. A Rotzo potrete visitare, oltre ai numerosi Capitelli Votivi, anche la Chiesa di Santa Margherita, la chiesa più antica dell'Altopiano, e l'Ossario costruito nel dopoguerra per conservare i resti dei caduti.
Dopo Rotzo, proseguendo lungo il nostro itinerario, si incontra Roana, località che, come tutto l'Altopiano di Asiago, venne pesantemente coinvolta negli scontri bellici della prima Guerra Mondiale, come testimonia il Museo della Guerra '15-'18. Per chi ama la natura, poco distante da Roana è possibile raggiungere il Laghetto artificiale della Lonaba,una meta turistica di grande fascino.
La tappa successiva ci porta ad Asiago, il centro più famoso, turistico e frequentato di tutto l'Altopiano. Le vacanze in hotel Asiago offrono la possibilità di praticare ogni sport estivo ed invernale, di sciare sulle splendide piste da sci della zona e di godere di passeggiate ed escursioni in panorami dalla bellezza unica. Le principali attrattive di Asiago sono il Sacrario Militare (un Ossario che dà riposo ai caduti nella prima guerra mondiale) e l'Osservatorio astrofisico dell’Università di Padova.
Dopo Asiago, il percorso alla scoperta dell'Altopiano dei Sette Comuni ci conduce a Gallio, dove potrete visitare la graziosa chiesa parrocchiale e immergervi nella rigogliosa natura circostante.
Dopo Gallio si giunge a Foza, un piccolissimo ma suggestivo comune della Provincia di Vicenza, dove potrete concedervi giornate di totale relax ed evasione dal mondo.
L'itinerario prosegue in direzione Enego, un luogo i cui la natura conserva un fascino particolare. Ad Enego potrete visitare la Chiesa di Santa Giustina, ed i resti della torre dell'antico castello.

Italian Translation Into English Of The Seasons
I have a great love for all things Italian. I work in a translation agency dealing with Italian English language combination projects, I am getting fat on Italian food and I am even marrying a fantastic Italian girl, who is also a translator.
So I hope to bring to you in this article not only an Italian English translation of the text. But also, a feel of the Italian culture and way of life.
Italian Names for the Seasons - la primavera, l'estate, l'autunno, l'inverno
The English Translations are:
Seasons
la primavera—Spring
l'estate—Summer
l'autunno—Autumn
l'inverno—Winter
In Italian the names of seasons (i stagioni) are not capitalized.
Now lets add some culture and lifestyle to this translation;
la primavera—Spring
The scent of flowers arrives in your house. The days start to get longer. The fog in Bolgna will start to decrease and you will be less neccessary to have extra clothes when you walk (caminare) in the evening to get an icecream (gelato).
Already, the whole of Italy is getting ready for the summer. In the south they may already be getting on the beach some weekends.
Another funny side I have discovered is that some of the Italians I know (boys and girls) are already planning on getting rid of their girlfriends / boyfriends so that they won't be restricted from the pleasures of summer.
When I think of an English Spring I remember a saying my mother as always said ‘March comes in like a lamb and goes out like a lion' Meaning it will start nice, but end with the roar of storms.
l'estate—Summer
In the summer the Italians are all heading for the beach. Italy is long and narrow looking like a ladies boot. As such, you are genereally no more then 45 minutes from the beach.
Most Italian have a selection of beaches they use. The beach of the family, the beach where they meet their friends and the beach where they go to see and be seen!
l'autunno—Autumn
Autumn is generally a little depressing in most countries. The days are becoming shorter and the days on the beach are less and less inviting.
However, Italians love to party and the harvests create a cause for many regional celebrations. So I actually love this Italian season. Its cooler so you get to catch up on what you have put off through the heat of summer.
l'inverno—Winter
Well......again Italy is long and narrow and shaped like a boot as it has been formed by the merging of tetonic plates. This has resulted in a country that has mountains down its middle.
So the Italians, like many English, are generally off to the ski slopes. But unlike the English most Italians are only an hour from the slopes so they are able to go skiing most weekends.
