Is it possible to climb Mount everest alone with no tools?
I want to make a new record of riskiest talent. but I want to know is it possible?
it is possible...but you must have a high stamina and a good supply of oxygen and probably gloves and some hot water to prevent your hands from getting frozen near the peak of the mountain. although i would advice you not to as it is very dangerous. it is ambitious, but not worth the risk to me.

Rock climbing is one of the most physically challenging sports, testing strength, endurance, flexibility, and stamina. Good climbers have to build and maintain each of these assets. This is the first-ever book to provide climbers of all ages and experience with the knowledge and tools to design and follow a comprehensive, personalized exercise program. | | Traditional Lead Climbing $14.31 For intermediate climbers who already have experience with roped climbing, this guide explains how to lead a climb with gear. It is not intended for beginners. Chapters that follow discuss advanced trad lead skills, such as multipitch techniques and self-rescue; knot and rope craft; and ratings, climbing etiquette, and impact and access issues. Advice from traditional leaders, b&w photos, and illustrations are incorporated. A working knowledge of basic climbing equipment and simple systems like belaying, top-roping, and leading is assumed. 76. Competition has a negative effect on the individual’s fitness via its negative effect on survival, growth,?
Competition has a negative effect on the individual’s fitness via its negative effect on survival, growth, fecundity
True or false?
Thanks!
False, because if competition has a negative effect it will be on survival of the organism, not on it's growth and definitely not on fecundity.

The benefit of religion to mankind?
It is a challenge for science to explain the irrational. Could it be that the selective advantage of holding religious beliefs is that supernatural beliefs motivate human cooperation better than factual explanations, thus increasing social cooperation, hence leading to greater survival fitness in the struggle for survival?
Religion did serve a purpose in bringing the community together, which was useful when the human population was significantly lower and towns were smaller and more insular. Today, for precisely the same reasons, religion is detrimental. We are at the onset of global civilisation and we can no longer afford to be ethnocentric.
Mankind has outgrown religion. We need to step into the 21st century.

Climbing Rescue Self

Someone said my house is like a zoo? What do you think?
Okay so my family are real suckers for pets.
We have 11 cats (all self rescued from abusers NOT from a shelter, except one).
We also have 7 rats, and 5 dogs.. 2 rescued dogs.
One was unwanted for being 'too small' and the other was unwanted for diet problems.
People think thats a lot of animals.. and considering we always take in animals and rehome them, but we do it out of kindness.
Our old labrador had been locked in a shed for her whole life, I taught her to climb stairs and be a normal dog.. I wanted to keep her but the vet bills were too much.
People think we should register as a rescue and take donations for the animals, but I don't know?
What do you think about my family?
Yeah, Thats what I meant Harriet.
Also, I don't like the thought of taking money from others, we manage on our own and would prefere peoples money to go to places like the Blue Cross etc.
Since I've never seen a zoo with cats and dogs, I would have to say your house IS NOT like a zoo. An animal shelter maybe, but not a zoo. 11 cats?...hmmm...

| | Climbing Self Rescue $13.43 International mountain guides Tyson and Loomis teach climbers how to analyze problems such as a stuck rope or injured partner and improvise solutions to them. They describe a variety of self-rescue procedures for teams of two or more that utilize items found on a typical climbing rack (rope, carabiners, slings, cord, etc.). More than 100 b&w photographs clearly illustrate the techniques discussed. Annotation )2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com) |
| | Mountaineers Books Climbing Self Rescue $19.95 Because few climbers carry fancy (and expensive) search and rescue gear, all skills taught in this book use the items typically found on a climbing rack: rope, carabiners, slings, and cord. Text, illustrations, and photos explain knots, belaying and hauling systems, rappelling, ascension, passing knots, how to safely assist and rig an injured climber, and more. Roughly half of the book is devoted to real-life climbing scenarios and solutions ranging from moderate to severe. Because real-life situations rarely unfold as they do in practice, Climbing Self-Rescue teaches how to analyze and improvise your way out of a crisis. |
| | Mountaineers Books 100341 Climbing Self Rescue Andy Tyson and Molly Loomis $31.55 The rope is stuck or too short. A crucial piece of gear is MIA. You ve wandered off route into dicey terrain. An injury leaves you or your partner in need of help. Climb long enough and finding yourself in a jam far from help is inevitable. In Climbing: Self Rescue two longtime climbing instructors and guides teach how to improvise your own solutions calling for outside help only when necessary. Because few climbers carry fancy (and expensive) search and rescue gear all skills taught in this book use the items typically found on a climbing rack: rope carabiners slings and cord. Text illustrations and photos explain knots belaying and hauling systems rappelling ascension passing knots how to safely assist and rig an injured climber and more.
