Key Lock
Where is the num lock key on my studio dell laptop?
Messing around with microsoft access my num lock button is lock and I don't know which key it is.
It is next to F12 (top row of keys) on the studio 15

Defending the Americana Key Lock
How a key of a lock works ? how come one key cannot open another lock and how are locks made for keys?
How are keys made or designed ? and how come a key of one lock cannot work on another lock of the same brand ?
how are they made different ?
and what is the probability that I will find 2 keys / lock to be same
One manufacturer producing 1000s of locks cannot make 1000 variation in keys ?
Check out www.snopes.com. They have a very interesting functional view of a lock cylinder and how it works. As for keying variations, the manufacturer may run 1000s of the same key and lock than distribute them randomly across the country. Thus the chance of you having the same key as your next door neighbor is quite slight, although it is possible given certain circumstances.
