Green Aluminum yellow, green and blue recycling bin. what should go in which so kids will remember?
I just got a yellow, blue and green separated bins for recycling. One for paper. One for aluminum and glass together (I will separate at the city place) and one for plastics. I know this is kind of stupid, but when I teach to kids about it I want to be able to reference why each category of recyclable would go with that color, but I can't really think of any way to relate it. Is there supposed to be a certain way that it goes? Thanks for your help.
tape or fix a piece of paper , glass, and plastic to the correct one. I did it at my kids pre-school, once the kids recognized what went in there, instead of guessing and/or throwing it in the wrong bin, it worked well. Also, explain to them the difference when they ask, and ask they will ! remember the 3 R's Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle !

Why does an aluminum can I just opened have green spots on the inside?
I just opened a can of enchilada sauce and after I used it I saw 4 green spots on the inside of the can, nothing came off in the sauce. I tried scratching it but it is part of the can. It looks like a sideways oval with a darker middle and lighter green towards the edges. I can't find anything else like it online. i ate the enchiladas anyway I didn't get sick from eating it.
It may be the fungal growth may be Aspergillus which is toxic. So it will be safe to throw all the stuff. Don't consume it.
