Pitch Dark Exploring
Would you go explore the depths of the deepest oceans in a portable bubble submarine?
If you were proposed to go into a portable bubble submarine and go down to explore the bottom of the deepest oceans where it's pitch black - would you do it? Or, would you be too scared to do it?
Note - The submarine would fit two people in the clear bubble capsule, and it would have lights to illuminate the dark ocean floor.

Pitch Black Star Spangled, its very title suggestive of a jumble of approaches, could just as easily have the label of dark ambient or experimental or whatever else might apply. From the start and the sawing arc of feedback on "Don't Tell Me This is Home," Westerhus seems intent on ignoring an easy label. If the initial blasts of the album seem overwhelming, the quiet, focused tones he creates for the start and center of "Sing with Me Somehow" aim more at a fragile beauty, as does the drone-touched flow of "Empty Hands Mirrored Softly," which feels less like guitar and more like a sarangi or sitar. At other extremes, as with much of the 12-minute long title track and the entirety of "Music for Leaving," among others, he more readily compares to the most open-ended electronic stutter and buzz approach of someone like Loren Mazzacane Connors. Where he is arguably his most traditional, he always seems to find other possibilities: the central bass-heavy groove of "Thy Gospel" could be something from 1955, but with the screech of extra guitar noises eventually supplanting it entirely, is something of an unsettled meditation, free jazz-inspired possible logical conclusion. One also has to credit him for a sense of humor that would result in a song title like "Trailer Trash Ballad," even if (or especially because) the music suggests more of a yearning epic release somewhere in a blasted American Southwest. ~ Ned Raggett, Rovi Performers: Stian Westerhus - Guitar |

Travelbird team becomes the privileged first guests to a clay castle. It was truly a splendid experience, between the mud and the woods. What is unique about Banasura, Asia’s largest 'earth' resort?
It was already dark, when we started to climb a small hill. Niranjan, the guide cum driver of the resort, joined us on the main highway. From then on we just needed to follow his Mahindra Major jeep. The 2.5 km road to the resort was under construction, but fortunately, we didn't experience any back-breaking motions.
It was pitch dark when we entered a wooden gate of Banasura earth resort, where security persons greeted us. A silhouette of a long building appeared in front of us. At first, I mistook it for the resort's main area. Darkness bounded the entire region, and the few dim lights coming from some unknown source were not good enough to give a clear picture of the surroundings. The entire ambiance generated a mystic feel.
The moment we entered the resort, rain started showering its virgin spray over the area. The staff then guided us through a foot path to the main block, a spacious and independent cottage.
The roomy deluxe cottage emitted a fresh smell of laterite stone, mixed with wet mud, thanks to the first rain drops of the season. The rooms where stylishly designed and perfectly maintained up to the expected standards. This was the first thought that crossed our mind as its first guests. From the door panel to the curtains, sit out to the toilets everything was set in a state-of-the-art manner that offered complete comfort to the visitors. In the magnificent candle light ambience, we had a fabulous dinner. Fruits, chappathi, Dal, chicken, fish and a few rice items mentioned in the menu card, appeared on our table in no time. Both the long journey and the heavy dinner took its toll on us and not surprisingly, the bed was our next destination.
The next day, some unknown birds of the region gave us the wakeup call. Fresh morning light seeped through the window curtains. In a few minutes we were off the blocks, equipped with camera and lenses to explore the entire resort. In the daylight, the resort wore a different look. It exuded cool comfort, directly from the lap of mother nature.
Inside the resort, which was categorized as a hill resort, the cottages and the entire designing was planned by keeping a natural pool as the focal point. All the cottages opened its main door to a medium sized natural pool, where ducks fight to get their way among myriad numbers of water lilly plants. The huge mountain peak reflected its majesty in the water.

| | Over the River & Through the Woods $19.98 Among the unheralded themes of the U.S. radio program A Prairie Home Companion has been its intermittent treatment of classical music, which host Garrison Keillor seems to want to rescue from the clutches of formality. On the program itself he has featured opera singers, violin virtuosos, male quartets, college choirs, and more, all with the aim of showing the ways classical music has been and remains integrated into the fabric of American life. This two-disc release, a recording of a live event from late in the year 2004 (Keillor works in a few cracks about the re-election of President George W. Bush that fall), expands on this theme. It's a bit hard for the potential buyer to get an idea of the contents from the cover. This is not a collection of Thanksgiving songs, although Keillor's spoken material is centered on the holiday. Nor is it a Prairie Home Companion episode, although it comes complete with a monologue about Keillor's fictional Minnesota hometown of Lake Wobegon on disc two. Instead, Keillor sets gospel music, broadly defined, in juxtaposition with contemporary small-ensemble choral music, sung by the Minneapolis ensemble VocalEssence, in order to see how they bump up against each other on the same program, lubricated by Keillor's brand of homespun humor. The gospel side is taken by the so-called Hopeful Gospel Quartet, made up of Keillor himself and his frequent guests, folk singers Mollie O'Brien and Robin and Linda Williams. This group is excellent on country gospel songs like "I Am a Pilgrim," and they are familiar with the rhythms of Keillor's satires; here he adds new texts to liturgical forms such as psalms. These artists and plenty of other folk-oriented singers have sung the pieces from the African-American gospel tradition, as well, but one wonders why another Keillor collaborator, gospel vocalist Jearlyn Steele, couldn't have been included on pieces like "Pops" Staples' "You Don't Knock." The range of pieces performed by VocalEssence is similarly wide, ranging from contemporary Finnish music to common hymns, and the kinds of harmony singing present in the program as a whole emerge as a spectrum rather than as a division. The market for this release among listeners of A Prairie Home Companion is obvious, but it may prove interesting even for listeners beyond that circle (although a basic familiarity with what Keillor does is probably necessary). Everest Death Zone
Climber left to die on Everest?
Ok so Climber David Sharp was on his 3rd attempt to climb everest. He got injured and crawled into a cave. He was passed by about 40 climbers who didn't see him. The returning climbers saw him. This was the death zone where the conditions make it nearly impossible to Carry out a rescue. David couldn't even stand and died on the mountains 50 meters from the summit. But the media still blamed the climbers! Why is it so hard for people who have never touched a mountain before to understand what climbers have to go through?
Others might dispute my opinion, but I believe that circumstances like that 2006 tragedy point up the fact that there needs to be greater restriction on the access of people to climbs like Everest. Too many unqualified and dangerously underprepared people are allowed to attempt foolish climbs yet they expect the authorities and strangers to bail them out when they get in trouble. My feeling is, if you choose to go solo or set out on a half-baked mission, you have no right to expect other people to jeopardize their own safety and abandon there own well-organized trips to rescue you.
I've been an outdoors adventurer for 40 years and I can't tell you how many times I and my friends had to abandon our outings to rescue and evacuate some idiot who got in over his head and crossed our paths. No, I did not feel gratified at saving these fools -- felt an obligation to do so but was p1ssed off that I my own enjoyable trip had to turn into a strenuous effort thanks to someone else's cluelessness. There was the big party boy jock in fashionable ski clothes who wandered off route, lost a ski and a glove on an ice slope in the Presidentials that we had to lower over a headwall with ropes in a blizzard in the dark while he sobbed and cried, spoiling our mountaineering practice climb. And the doofus couple we came across in the West VIrginia back country who had burned up their tent, sleeping bags and most of their clothes by trying to cook in their tent in the rain. They were hypothermic and lost -- couldn't leave them or they'd have died. We ruined our weekend by escorting them back to the trail head and all we got as thanks was them complaining that we didn't carry their ruined gear out for them. They started fighting with each other the last mile of the hike and then took off in their truck without so much as a "thank you."
My attitude now is, if you have a real accident you could not have forseen, I am glad to help you. But if you showed up unprepared, do something really stupid or were convinced you could do this solo, that's your problem and you're on your own.

1. Global warming refers to the tempter of the plant rising do to man made gases.
2. Vehicles, power plants, rainforest's deforestation, ions, a volcanic eruption, co2, no2, nuco2, h, and suffer gases.
3. the climate of are plant is rising, the polar ice caps are melting, the golf stream is slowing down (which could lead to an ice age) air quality, and atmospheric deterioration (UV, uva, uvb and Gama rays are penetrating more rapidly)
4. ice age could occur, the polar ice capes will melt by 2050, are atmosphere will not be able to protect us from harmful ray I listed above, and crops could fail completely.
5. frost bit, co2 poising, shortness of breath, dizziness, or light headiness, un able to think clearly
6. the death zone is also known as the point of no return, a point in a climb that is very dangers to the human body and mind do to there being no o2.
7. you would want to spend at least 3 days per every 7500 feet, so if you where going to climb 15,000 feet, you would need 6 days to get acclimated, this will help eliminate some of the above, like shortness of breath, dizziness, light handedness, and the ability to think clearly.

Solar Dry
Is there any drying application of solar energy?
I have a research about drying application by solar energy but I have no idea what kind of application is this. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.
Basically, using the sun to dry is a drying application using solar.
I would think we're talking about mainly dehydrating food stuff, something every culture has a little expertise in. From beef jerky to dried fish to preserved fruits and vegetables, we're talking free energy to preserve our food. Dried food should last for quite a while, and has the added benefit of more compact storage and weight.
Other than that, there's drying clothes (but that's a mix of air and heat drying). and making adobe bricks for building.
