Why can dogs see laser pointers if red isn't in their available color spectrum?
I am doing a project on dog's vision, and I cant seem to find out why a dog cant see the color red but they can still find a laser pointer and chase it. Does it have something to do with it being a single ray of the light? If you find the answer online, please give me the link! I would greatly appreciate it!
According to this reference, it is not that dogs cannot see red, but that they cannot distinguish any colors in the green to red range. So they are red-green color blind.
They see all those hues with a single color receptor that has its maximum sensitivity in the yellow-green part of the spectrum, but it has some sensitivity to red light as well. So all those colors appear as different brightnesses of one shade. They have a second color receptor that has peak response in the violet part of the spectrum and includes some blue sensitivity. So their ability to see light covers about the same range as human vision, except that only divides that range into two distinct parts. Blue green is probably seen a little by both receptors and would be interpreted as a third color.

Red - Colors for Kids!
How long does your hair stay the color Red when you Henna your hair?
I colored my hair Red with Henna 3 days ago and love it! I just wanted to know from people that have colored their hair with Henna, how long did their hair stayed that Red color? I know when I have colored my hair Red before with Clairol permanent hair color, after two weeks my hair was not red anymore. It was more Brown then Red! I hope that Henna keeps that Red color for longer!
Henna is a permanent dye, clairol used at home is a demi permanent or semi permanent dye.
And red fades faster than other colors.
If you buy great quality henna with high dye content it will dye red and stay red very well.
