Visiting the Camuy Caves, Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is known for its stunning beaches, but this tiny Caribbean island is home to many breathtakingly beautiful natural wonders. Figuring prominently among these are the remarkable Camuy Caves, located in the northwestern region of Puerto Rico.
Camuy Caves History
An hour and a half's drive from San Juan will take you to the largest underground cave system in the Western Hemisphere, and the third largest in the world. The Camuy River created the caves more than a million years ago, carving the caves as it meandered through the countryside. Taino petroglyphs found inside show that members of the tribe, Puerto Rico's original inhabitants, were familiar with the caves. The caves have been a popular destination for spelunkers since local kids first led professional cave explorers to the entrance in the 1950s. The Puerto Rico Land Administration opened the caves to tourists in 1987, and there has been a steady stream of visitors ever since.
Exploring the Camuy Caves
Visitors to the Rio Camuy Cave Park ride open-air trolleys to the Cueva Clara entrance. Once there, a guide leads them through the 170-foot high cave. Light from the entrance allows them to see rock formations and stalactites that hang down like huge icicles. They are then led to view the Tres Pueblos Sinkhole, measuring 400 feet deep by 65 feet across. On the way out of the cave, visitors can see a section of the Camuy River flowing underground.
The Spiral Sinkhole is also open for viewing, however visitors will need to walk down more than 200 steps to see it. There is no tram into the Spiral Sinkhole.
The more adventurous might opt to take a tour of the Cathedral Cave. Visitors rappel down into the cave, where they can see Taino cave paintings, and hike out through the caves.
Camuy Caves Tips
In addition to the caves, the complex boasts a theater, gift shop, cafeteria and walking trails. To ensure the safety of tourists, the caves are closed in heavy rain. Park operators limit the number of people allowed in the caves at a time, which can lead to long wait times. Try to arrive as early as possible to avoid the long wait.

Do you like my poetry?
Here is one of my favorite poems I have written, it is about me thinking about running on a beach with a wild horse. Advice will be appreciated!
Running in the sand
while getting a tan
the scent of fresh air
drifts over the land
Our hair sways in the breeze
your head nods back and forth
as your feet shift with ease
this is your kind of sort
You leave hoof prints in the mud
and the water sloshes against my legs
leaving soft, fragile suds
as the tides begin to raise
We splash in the waves
and frolic in the sand
explore dusky caves
and unravel foreign land
I day dream in my bath tub
wishing upon a star I hope to reach
I guess until then
I'll just rinse, lather, and repeat
well i love th descriptions! but on the rhyming lines I would try and match the amount of sytllables a little more. I would also remove the last stanza altogether, i think it ruins the fantasy, wind in your hair, ocean mist spraying up, horse trotting peacefully kind of moment. But other than that- beautiful!

Make a cheap 9V LED head-torch for cycling/running/caving/exploring etc
I just got a baby corn snake and he is having a staring contest with me?
I just got a corn snake today who is a couple months old and was regularly held at the pet shop I got him from. He was very comfortable around me at the store before I took him home. Once in his new home he explored for a long time climbing the logs and nestling into the bedding. Later when he found his hiding spot he started sticking his head out to look at me and then going back into the shelter. After that he spent about an hour just sitting there with his head out of the hole to his cave starting at me. He has come out of the hiding spot once and explored the tank more for a short time and then returned to the hiding spot. Any information that I have read about corn snakes says that they hide for the first few days in their homes without coming out at all, has anyone else had their corn snake do this?
It's good that your snake is so comfortable that he feels he can come out and watch you. Most likely this will be a clam snake that won't have any problems settling in. I'd even feed now and then let him relax and digest in his new home for the next 2-3 days. Feed frozen/thawed!! Do NOT feed live. No matter what the other poster said, it's far easier to store some frozen mice than figure out what to do with the live one that your snake decides it's not hungry for. They are dangerous when they get larger and unless you like seeing your snake missing eyes, parts of their noses or treating them for bites, stick to the safer f/t prey and offer on tongs. Mine strike and wrap as if it's live so there's no benefit to live. It's dangerous, dangerous, dangerous! Unless your snake won't take f/t, I think it's terribly irresponsible to risk your pet or valuable investment with something that provides no benefit except to give you a cheap thrill. Enjoy your new snake and be happy that he's so relaxed in his new place.

Stars Wars Episode V, 5: Failure in the cave?
I was watching star wars episode 5 the other day, one of my lesser watched episodes and i watched the chapter "the failure in the cave". In that chapter Luke fought this Darth Vader and killed it. When its helmet came off some wierd face was in the helmet. Was that Darth Vader a fake? How did he "fail"? Whose face was that in the darth vader helmet? Why did Yoda not help him fight whatever that was and why did he consider it a "failure"?
Just curious. I never knew what actually happened in that scene. Thanks.
It is part of his "Jedi trials" ... the "trials" are different for each being but in the end it always comes down to defeating the dark side inside you ... basically renouncing the power that anger can give.
The "Vader" that Luke fought in the cave was a "Force Illusion". Kind of like the "holo decks" on Star Trek that someone else mentioned.
Remember in the scene where Luke asks Yoda what is in the cave and Yoda says "Only what you take with you ..." then Yoda says "Your weapons ... you will not need them." Remember Luke's reaction to that ... he just went about putting his weapons belt on. With that one gesture Luke's fate in the cave was sealed. By taking his weapons he also took his fear with him. You can NOT fight your fear ... you can only face it. Luke fought his fear and thought he had did something good by cutting its head off but ... when the mask stopped rolling around and burst open to show his face ... it showed him his failure and showed him he still had a long way to go with his training.
If you're asking yourself how I got all of that from the movie ... well I didn't. Truth be told when I first saw that scene I thought it meant that Luke had won or something. The when Yoda mentions his "failure at the cave" it started me thinking that my first thoughts were wrong. I could never put my finger on it until I read the EU series "Jedi Academy". In the third book of that series one of the characters, Kyp Durron, had to face a similar "trial". He went into a dark temple on Yavin 4 and in that temple was a shadowy figure whose face he couldn't see. At first he thought it was the "ghost" of the Sith Lord, Exar Kun, who had possed him and turned him to the dark side. Kyp first decided to fight the shadow and destroy it's darkness forever. THEN he realized what Luke didn't ... you can't fight your fear you can only face it and hope for the best. In this case it was the right thing for Kyp to do because the "shadow" wasn't Exar Kun ... it was the spirit of his brother. If he had attacked the "shadow" he would have been attacking his own brother much the way it seemed that Luke was fighting himself and not Vader. His brothers spirit congratulated him on becoming a full Jedi Knight and then said farewell to him. One of those kind of "touchy feely" kind of things but it worked well to show what Luke had done wrong during his trials in the cave.
May The Force Be With You ...
EDIT:
Kind of forgot this one ... the mask blowing open to show Luke's face was a bit of "foreshadowing" for Vaders revelation to Luke after their duel in Cloud City.

!!!!!!! The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion!!!!!DEADRIC ARMOUR AND SWORD!!!!!!! xbox 360?
Hi im level 22 on this game i have all the glass armour and most of the deadric armour ( boots, gauntlets, cuirass, greaves, shield,) but the 2 things i really want is a Deadric Helmet and A deadric sword can some one please tell me were to go to find these items.... PS i already went to rockmilk cave........
I'm level 22 and managed to find most of that stuff in the Oblivion Realm. Get to work closing the gates and you'll stumble across them soon enough.
