how to transfer DV to my laptop?
I have a Sony DCR HC21 cam, my laotop is a dell b130, I bought a cable that has the i.link (4 pin) connector at one end and a 2.0 USB connector at the other end. I thought I could just plug my Camera to my laptop with this wire without buying a firewire card. I've tried downloading my videos through the USB connector (usb on the camera and USB on the computer) but the quality sucks, now i have this other wire but my computer is not recognizing the camera.
my question is if there's a software/codec or something that will allow me to transfer the videos through the cable i have (i.link=>USB) or do I have to buy and adapter that goes in my laptop, and get a i.link=>i.link cable...
Been searching for hours and i came to the point of hitting my head on the wall if you know what i mean.
Any help would be really appreciated.
MiniDV over USB - USB streaming - will not work (at least, not for high quality video). Firewire-USB converter/adapter/hub/cables won't work... this is known stuff - sorry you had to learn the hard way.
The USB and firewire communications protocols are just too different and USB is too slow.
You need to be using a firewire card and connecting the DV port of the camcorder to the firewire port on the computer with a firewire cable. Firewire, DV, IEEE1394 and i.LINK are all the same thing. PCMCIA cards are pretty cheap...

How do i adjust the playback speed of my Sony Vaio webcam?
I have a Sony Vaio laptop with a cam built in, however, whenever i record a clip on cam and play it back, it plays back at double speed. It never did it before and i cant find any playback controls for it whatsoever, can anyone help me? its doing my head in!!!

Ten again................?
A man asked his wife, "What would you most like for your birthday?"

On the morning of her birthday, he got her up bright and early and off
they went to a theme park.
He put her on every ride in the park, the Death Slide, The Screaming Loop,
the Wall of Fear. Everything there was, she had a go.
She staggered out of the theme park five hours later, her head reeling and
her stomach upside down.
Into McDonald's they went, where she was given a Double Big Mac with extra
fries and a strawberry shake.
Then off to a movie theater, more burgers, popcorn, cola and sweets. At
last she staggered home with her husband and collapsed into bed.
Her husband leaned over and asked, "Well, dear, what was it like being ten
again?"
One eye opened and she groaned, "Actually I meant dress size."

An atomic digital clock is one which uses as its resonator the resource frequency of atom. This clock connects to the US National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) time server. I bought this awsome hoodie from pacsun thats a size small adult, and well,Im kinda a medium youth.How do I shrink it to the exact size in the washer.Also its cotton.
but I dont want to shrink it too much
wash it in hot water and then dry it on the highest heat.

Is there any possible way to shrink a pre-shrunk shirt?
I got a t-shirt from doing a volleyball camp. They ran out of adult smalls so I grabbed a medium because youth large was too small. But the medium is HUGE! Is there anyway for me to shrink it? :/
It's 50% preshrunk cotton and 50% polyester. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I want to wear the shirt xD
Grab your sewing machine and take it in at the seams. Turn shirt inside out decide how much you need to take it in ( 1 or 2 inches on each side should do it Then sew and trim off excess on each side.Viola

Has anyone ever tried a bamboo towel?
A friend of mine told me she'd bought some - I'd never even heard of them. She said they were the softest, most absorbent towels ever. If you've tried them, what do you think - and where did you get them?
Yes, we buy some clothes (too) that are made of bamboo. We clean them with a LaundryPure. I do it all on the same setting. I don't even separate darks from lights!
