Would you rather have black diamond or moissanite engagement ring?
I want a ring around 1.7 ct and I think white diamonds are waste of money. My boyfriend can buy it but I don't want him to. I'd rather put 20k towards my son's education. So, I nailed to two rings, one platinum+1.8 black diamond+4 tiny white diamonds, and second palladium+1.8 moissanite+lots of small moissanites around, very pretty. Which one would you get? Is it considered embarrassing to have moissanite? I have a really good career so I'm wondering if people will think I'm faking. Thanks.

A black diamond is just what it is a black diamond. I looked at the pictures and I think that it looks good. If you and I emphasize you like which ever you will be content. Moissanite is second only to diamonds and is not "soft". In some manufacturing moissanite is used for its hardness in place of diamonds.
