Screwing up a lock by putting in wrong key?
Well im wondering if you put the wrong keys into a lock constantly and trying to open it, will it mess up the lock? I want to open up my dads car truck to get some sodas but im not sure which key is the correct one. Im sacred that if i try them all they will somehow mess up the lock or something so that eventually not even the right key will open the trunk....=l i want some soda....One time i stuck like a paperclip into a keyhole and messed up the lock and i couldnt open the lock again even with the correct key...ever since ive been very paranoid about this. So my question: Can constantly trying to open a lock with incorrect keys mess up the lock inside?
It's not likely, but it can happen, usually like the next comment.
What could be worse happens often, you use one that trys to work, and it gets stuck in the ignition, some times they break off.
When that happens, you call the locksmith to pull the steering column.
Dad may be peeved.

Can I purchase replacement screws that are 1 way for my faultless doubledead bolt lock?
Many double deadbolt locks use one way screws. Arrow brand screws are covered by a shutter and are only accessible by turning the proper key in the lock. Schlage uses a pop in cap to make the screw slots useless.
Also if the screws are one way, how do I remove the lock from the door later, some I believe use a special tool.
Where can I purchase these oneway screws and how do you remove them later for installation in rentals?
You can purchase it from shops sales bolts , screws , locks ...etct.
To remove it , use special screw driver if available , if not make straight groove for normal screw driver then get it out
