Anime/Cartoon-ize a friend?
So long story short I'm trying to draw my friend as an anime character. It's harder than it seems, though, trying to draw her hair and eyes in an anime format, because then it doesn't look like her. I have a wacom tablet and I'm already decent at drawing so that's not an issue, and I don't mind putting in the time, but my question is...
How should I go about drawing my friend as an anime character? I can't seem to get it to look like her. The eyes, if too large, don't look like her, and if they're too small they're serious and it kills it. Also, what kind of pose or what not? I'm so confused. Just opening Photoshop and drawing anything is tough.
try using sketch in artweaver software take picture of her then turn it into sketch it becomes blackwhite but the feel of her then add anime
drawing and color and should at least give you a differn't way to see her help you to get it right also artweaver is freeware software for the artist better then gimp I think more like photoshop have fun good luck 4 or 5 days left

How do I automatically resize images uplaoded to my PHP website ?
I have a website written in PHP and I want to allow users to upload photographs to it. However if the photos filesize or dimensions is too large, I want my website to be able to automatically reduce the filesize or dimension.
Is there any softweare or technique that would allow this to happen automatically ?
I know that some websites dont allow filesizes above a certains ize to be uploaded, but I feel that an awful lot of people wouldn't know how to resize their own images before uploading them.

I have used ImageMagick in the past - it's fast, reliable and very powerful.
