This "forest" poem is long, will you reach the end?

My dogs define what
the forest is to me.
Behind a fence or
hooked to a leash is
how they spend their day, but
as we head to the forest gate
they pull to the point of choking,
I can barely stay on my feet
so eager they are.
Then we enter the woods,
I close the gate,
and release them from their leads.
Off they go, two peas in a pod,
their tails wagging in pure delight,
soon to be
the only part of them in sight.
Lucy, the hunter, is off to discover
scents left from the night before.
Roscoe, his joints stiffened by age,
is drugged with adrenaline, fogetting the pain
as he flies over trees, decayed on the ground
and jumps to catch lizards too fast for his feet.
My dogs help me to see that
the forest to them is
what heaven will be
for me.
Freedom from boundaries,
from fettered restraints,
no more worry of pain.
Only more wonders
to see and explore.

Even if "two peas in a pod" is ...

the imagery of tails wagging
made me smile and wonder;

did I really eat that Purina and keep it down?

Exploring Engineering

Exploring Engineering

$40.91

Winner of the Best New Undergraduate Textbook Award from the Professional and Scholarly Publishing Division of the American Association of Publishers! Exploring Engineering was developed to meet the need for a better way to introduce incoming engineering students to the fundamental concepts at the heart of all engineering disciplines. It was also created to show students in a vivid way the great array of opportunities and possibilities of today's engineering fields-from classical mechanical engineering to bioengineering and mechatronics. This is the first text to introduce nearly all of the major engineering areas, and to do so with a strong interdisciplinary case study approach. This approach better prepares and enables students to draw upon knowledge not only from their own particular field of expertise, but also from related or even distantly related engineering and technical and scientific fields, allowing them to become more versatile within their future employment. Exploring Engineering is flexible enough to offer a variety of approaches to the introduction of modern engineering for new students, while still providing the most important essentials that hold all engineering disciplines together, particularly the mathematical, quantitative basis of engineering as well as the modern computer tools that make today's engineering design so efficient and accurate. * Introduces the fundamental physical, chemical, and material foundations for all engineering work, including motion, force, conservation of energy and matter * Explains the workings of simple electrical circuits, computer logic, control and mechatronics, stress/strain diagrams, bioengineering, stoichiometry * Offers applications of engineering ethics—using an extended case study metaphor: the modern automobile * Provides simple data spreadsheets and other analytical "tools of the trade" to introduce students to the concepts of theoretical and of empirical engineering * Presents the engineering design process using examples and assignments specifically aimed at helping to guide students and instructor through a hands-on design project * A companion web site will offer a complete solutions manual and a number of suggested head-to-head competitions for a final design project

True Horror with Anthony Head

I have recurring dreams about discovering hidden/secret rooms in houses, usually with antique furniture. Why?

The rooms are always in renovation or just very old and there is usually a feeling of accomplishment and promise (of renovation and personal use) at the discovery. Sometimes it happens while looking for a room for someone to live in, or for myself as a child while exploring a new home. They usually contain or have contained old made-up beds, broken beds and dressing tables; and twice it contained talking marble statues of ancient Greeks (head and torso;head pieces; one full body sculpture). Often doors leading from other bedrooms. It happens often enough to nag at me. Any ideas? No random guessing please, I've done enough of that on my own:)

You've probably guessed it already , but your subconscious , is requesting that you do a life review of things that you have left secret in your childhood ( or myself as a child ), broken beds what would it take to mend them . Antiques again indicate old issues
Do the Greek sculptures represent someone .
Where you physically safe as a child in all the implied aspects ?
If not your subconscious has created the dream for you too work out these old issues
